Was kind of 50/50 imo. Nice play by Vegas. Flyers had some real nice chances but Fleury played damn well.

Nah, Flyers played a solid game overall. Only thing is that they didn't get enough pressure n the 3rd period. Fleury made some saves that a goalie has no business making.

Gotta agree here. Flyers were def the better team for most of the game. Couldve easily been 4-1. Vegas scored on basically their only great opportunity. We couldnt finish/MAF played out of his mind. Stoned G twice. Disspaointing result but the game they played was good. Gonna win more than you lose playing like that but it would've been nice to win this one too. Hope Oskar is alright too

They gotta find a way to get TK going. He's been invisible out there

Correct. Tough bounce. Would have liked to see better effort after clear missed. Coots is supposed to be one of our best and that 15 seconds cost us the game. I am still not sold on him as this great two way center. Stats are great but the eye test doesn't work for me.

I don't know why people keep saying this about Konecny. He could easily have about 5 goals on the season. He is getting really good chances.

If lehtera or weise made that same play you would be calling for their heads.

Sean Couturier didn’t make a play he should have but I’m not screening that he’s the solo reason why we lost.

Your criticism of Couturier on that play is warranted and correct in my opinion. Should've stopped at that point.

For sure....Fluery made the huge save with the game on the line. Tough, tough loss. But if they can play like that more often then not they’ll be fine. If there’s one criticism it’s that they needed to get pucks to the net with some pressure. They didn’t do it until the end.

Awful noncalls on the Lindblom hit that will get a suspension and the high stick on Provorov, but even more awful clear attempt by Couturier. Everything is terrible.

Hak hockey is the ultimate vanilla approach. Some moments sure, but it’s just such a passive way to play imo.

One silver lining is that they have played a hell of a stretch to start. SanJose, Vegasx2 is no easy start. Colorado oozes speed that a club like the Flyers will struggle with.

If the Flyers had no coach behind the bench this game, I wouldn’t have noticed. Hakstol offered zero impact on the game.

You could make the argument that McNabb could've held up some but that is not a strong argument. Not really a suspendable play because of how Lindblom changed his angle and body position.

Ok I need to ask.

In terms of grit. When was the last time he had a real intimidating hit or shift? He stares guys down and skates away.

I see it a few times every night. He plays those tough areas and he makes guys on the other team play an honest game. Yes his rep makes it that he doesn’t always have to fight but that’s an aspect that the Flyers don’t have if he’s not in the lineup.
The reason his hits don’t always stick out is because he hits guys when your supposed to hit guys. Nothings ever cheap or dirty. He plays the game the right way.
