It's not absurd at all. You're right there are two very different things which is why if you'll notice I haven't commented on some of the points you've made such as Cap ramifications. I simply object to the narrative that Simmonds is not a good 5 on 5 player. That's false.

Fleury was certainly the difference in the game, but the Flyers look like a team playing not to lose.
