It was a dirty play. You can see Matheson put his stick between Pettersson’s leg and do a can opener before throwing him down. Pettersson had no way of defending himself when his legs are taken out from under him like that.

Stop playing them 25 minutes a game. Time for them to start playing 15 minutes a game to stay healthy for the TDL and get some experience for the other D and loses under the belt.

Seriously you don't need a goon. That last 30 seconds of the game the other team has their best players on , a stick across the wrist or hand (not too obvious) taking a player out with a bruised hand for three weeks is much more effective payback.

It doesn't matter if the hit was legal or illegal or if Pettersson needs to get stronger or not, what matters is you need to have a pack mentality and stick up for one another for any reason.

Until they have that, they're not a team, they're just a bunch of individuals playing the game. Did you see Winnipeg the other day stick up for their guy, it was a tad late but they said fack that, you can't do that to our guy. Even Ehlers was fighting.

Proper? Nilsson has been standing on his head. He’s played way above the level he’s displayed in the past. Other than Elias he’s been our best player.

Definitely. Gives confidence to the entire team when you don't allow the first shot in. A key save once in a while goes a long ways.
