It was not a dirty hit. This is a big boys league and Pettersson got out muscled. You can't beat up someone just because they get thrown down. Pettersson is going have to deal with this throughout his career . He will need to get a bit arm strength and be a little tougher.

Im not disagreeing. He falls down on the ice more than Mason raymond used to fall down. I dont have a problem with the hit itself, its the throw on a player whos in a pretty defenseless position that i dont like. Slow mo shows it wasnt much of a hockey play after the initial hit

Doesn’t matter. You stick up for your guys. And if they are as weak as girl guides, you have to stick up even more especially they are your star. Semenko didn’t let anyone look at Gretzky. That’s deterrence.

You are right Pettersson needs to get stronger and tougher. Just like the opposition needs to know it's going to be a tough night when they do something cheap... even a little and it results in a young star player getting hurt.

Yah there is no way matheson gets suspended. Roughing penalty at best, but even then the refs didnt deem it that bad. Still think its a bit malicious knowing matheson was pissed that pettersson embarassed him moments earlier. Make the hit, but the throw was excessive imo
