Hagg played 70 games. Pretty close to a full season.
Also, a lot of us have tracked Hagg thru WJCs and at the Phantoms. As he has played against better competition, the flaws in his game have become apparent -- to the point where his upside is limited.
That being said, I think he has been much better in the early going. - VladDrag
70 games is still not a full season.
I don't see Hagg ever being more than a low 4 - 6 dman but the way he gets ripped here you would think he shouldn't be in the NHL. |

Mac and Gudas should (hopefully) both be gone before the start of 19-20.
Just roll with
Provy-Ghost
Sanheim-Hagg
Morin-Myers
Will they make some mistakes? Sure, outside of Ghost and Provorov and to a lesser extent Hagg, it’s a raw group. But it’ll be time to sink or swim with the kids by then, you can only rebuild for so long.
Get Hart in the net and replace Raffl, Lehtera, Weise, and Weal from a pool of guys like NAK, Frost, Twarynski, and possibly Ratcliffe and one or 2 of the college prospects.
Again, they may make some mistakes, but they will be fast, hungry and will play their hearts out. - BiggE
Hungry dogs skate faster...
We need someone to photoshop the sheppard mask on a prospect camp photo of any of the kids. |

It doesn't help Hagg that he has similar defense-generating issues to the least popular Flyers defensemen of this decade, and that the coach plays them together as a unit a lot of the time.
Hagg definitely belongs in the NHL in that putting him on waivers this season would be stupid, but whether he should have been used as a top 4 dman for 70 games last season playing ahead of Sanheim and Morin is debatable to put it mildly. Of course Morin's injuries ruled him out as an option for most of the season, but there were times when he was healthy and didn't get a real look. |

Can't wait for the news to break that Hak plans to use Weal as our 2C
To be clear. This is just my guess. - Giroux_Is_God
that's what happened at practice, but he had Konecny on his line...so we will see what happens if Konecny can't go |

The age between Provorov and Sanheim is irrelevant. They both played against each other in the WHL too. So what.
My only knock on Sanheim is he’s soft for a big kid. He has all the tools. He’s young. He’ll put it together in no time. |

Not by definition, but he was with the club the whole season. Seriously, what would you consider a whole season?

It was so cruel of Hak to only play VandeVelde for a partial season in his last year in the NHL. |

Dave Brown, to me, is the best enforcer in team history. Schultz may have more PIM or be more of a "face" of the team, but he wasn't as big, strong, tough as Brown. Schultz was more of a sideshow who enjoyed being the villain. Brown was just a guy who went about his business and simply took care of things when they needed taking care of. The only one who could give Brown a run would be Behn Wilson, but I never got to see him play live. Someone once asked Brown what his job was, and he answered, "When something's broken, I fix it." - jmatchett383
Loved Brown.
John Davidson, not so much.

I was going to say what I thought of Ghost as a hockey player, but I should probably wait till he's played a full season. |

Rather have him then Weal. Neither of them are 2C material at this point but Misha has shown really slick playmaking ability thus far |

At this point hes already centering the second line between Laughton and Simmonds. Lindblom-Weal-? should be used as the third line.
2nd PP unit is missing 3/5 regulars so I assume it will look like this. Id like to see Laughton get a shot if they can find a place for him.
Lindblom-Vorobyev-Weal
Provorov-Sanheim |
