Actually the correct questions are as follows.
What is Bobby Ryan's dream?
Where did you hear about it? - Scoob
AHAAHHAHAHAA.....
I just heard on The Fan 590 that Auston Matthews and Jack Eichel have always wanted to be Flyers |

I don't care about Hak's lak of emotion. I do care that he sits on his timeouts instead of using them when the team is clearly floundering. - Feanor
I do, and I dont mean just yelling. Anything would be nice. Even gathering a few vets on the bench and showing a bit of pep. No.. its stand nearly completely still (sans a head turn with the play), have a statuesque look frozen look on his face, and occasionally blink.

Trade the best players, and keep the hopeless coach.
Great strategy. - Feanor
If that's directed at me I wasn't saying you need to move him for nothing. You can make a hockey trade.
Look at Ottawa. No 1st rounders this coming draft. Have to big time FA next offseason in Stone and Duschene.
Would say a hypothetical trade of just say moving Voracek if you got Stone be bad? As I said. You might lose some dynamic skills in voracek but you gain a more well rounded skill set in stone?
That type of move. I don't know if it's right. But that was my thinking. |

I don't mean pull a 1975 style pound of flesh, I'm just talking about not making things easy for the other team. And I didn't watch the 2nd/3rd last night, I was talking in general.
The worst cases were games 3 and 4 last year against Pittsburgh. The came out in the first 5 minutes all fired up and then, after they got down, were lifeless drifters. In the playoffs, at home, against your top division rival. Game 4, especially, was embarrassing.
Again, it doesn't happen all of the time, and sometimes you can't bring your A-game every night. But to me, there are too many instances where this team, as a whole, lacks the ability to take a punch to the gut and come back in-game. - jmatchett383
They flat out lack intensity. |

Im not necessarily calling for fights, but name a period in team history where a visiting team came in and actively tried to run up the score in an 8-2 game and the team had NOTHING to respond with. No chippiness. No hitting. No scrums. No emotion. No desire to play. Thats what I watched last night.
A team that just didnt (frank)ing wanna be there. Didnt give AF about what was going on right on their home ice on OPENING NIGHT. |

I sincerely want to understand when Dave Hakstol thinks it's appropriate to use a timeout during an NHL hockey game. I'm guessing he's used that "hindsight is 20/20" quote after every game like this when he doesn't use his timeout.
He either isn't thinking about it or thinks these guys are robots or he doesn't understand NHL game flow or something. |

Call me crazy, but I don't care if they don't run around hitting people after they start losing.
I didn't see a team that gave up or went through the motions completely. They made efforts to try to get back in it but they were too few and far between. They had chances, but never finished. They also never cleaned up what got them into the situation in the first place, which exacerbated the problem. They weren't going to win the game playing with the structure and team defense they attempted, but to me it wasn't like they saw 2-0 and just said (frank) we lose. - YuenglingJagr
Yes, they seem quick to abandon the system and end up defaulting to individual-effort/all-star mode. Everybody's running around trying to "make things happen" and the team structure completely falls apart. |

But he might want to challenge the goal that makes it 6-1 a period and a half in the future. |

Not on that play he doesn't. The way Provorov played it was to give Elliott the shot. Provorov took the pass away. - J35Bacher
There is always a risk of that in a goalies mind on a 2 on 1.

Bill Meltzer: Wrap: Sharks Devour Flyers, 8-2; Gameday Preview: Flyers @ Senators - bmeltzer
When Michael Raffl and Scott Laughton are the only players who look like they have their legs under them, making smart decisions, you might be in trouble. Hakstol logic probably has one of them sitting tonight.
Voracek looks irrelevant at even strength. Couturier does not look like a number one center. I liked the start of the Patrick line and then they kinda mailed it in.
I’m gonna hand criticism to Ghost you are all gonna bash me for. The kid has a lot of flash in the offensive zone. He’s always generating offense but on the third goal (Joe Pavelski’s second goal) Ghost was out matched. I keep hearing how Provorov was a minus something or other but Ghost was a card board cutout on the play. Pavelski who isn’t even that massive of a man threw Ghost aside while Ghost has position and still managed to get that puck by Elliott.
The whole team had issues. Laughton has to pot one. |

Last night wasn't about a lack of effort. Last night was about a complete breakdown in team play and decision making.

Turned it off after the "knowledgeable" fans gave Elliott the Bronx cheer when we made a save after the 4th goal. He was the least of their problems last night.
That said, as bad as it was, it was one game early in the season. They all matter the same in the end, but it's just one game. Move on, come out hard tonight, and move on. - jmatchett383
How they respond tonight will say a lot about this team’s character |

I sat directly behind the bench.. He was animated for a solid 34 seconds total. Then he went right back to coach Wolf Eyes. - jak521
I've sat behind the bench numerous times. You can't tell a coaches demeanor from there. What you're posting is complete nonsense. Keith Jones who could clearly see and hear the coach, says otherwise. |
