You can only carry 23 players on the active roster. In order to "call up some AHL guys" you need to waive players on the active roster. And yes, we could send guys like Sanheim, Lindblom, and Vorobyov down without waivers, but I don't think they're the players you'd prefer to send down.
It's not about one-way or two-way contracts, it's about roster limits and waiver status. - jmatchett383
They have an open roster spot with JVR on IR, so send down Weise and now you have 2. Bring up Twarynski and NAK, sit Weal and Lehtera and roll with:
G-Coots-TK
Lindblom-Patrick-Jake
NAK-Vorobyev-Simmonds
Twarynski-Laughton-Raffl
On D, waive AMac (not like anyone is gonna claim him), bring up Myers and go with:
Provy-Ghost
Hagg-Myers
Sanheim-Gudas |

It's a B.S. point from a source that wasn't in position to make. It's a tired and stupid narrative - MJL
Your response to this seems out of proportion. Kind of like Hak's response to his team's play last night. |

Lehtera has been solid so far along with the rest of the 4th line. Myers needs more AHL time and bringing him up with the team D in disarray would be a mistake. None of this solves the issues. No overreaction needed. Drop the puck tonight and play

I think bringing up Myers in the second half of the season would be a good idea barring a major defenseman trade.

Let it go, its more about being right than it is about the success of the team. |

not that it means much though I guess Andy Mac is still hurting pretty good. no way is he healthy.
Goulborne is whats needed right now. Too many blah players on this team. |

I think they probably win tonight and turn the page. At least I hope.
I would like to not have any overreaction that involves putting Dale Weise in the lineup.
As for Lehtera.....did anyone see Lehtera get cleanly caught from behind on a breakaway or did I imagine that? He is what he is and seemed mostly fine in what Hakstol has him doing. |

Last night watching the atrocity, I remembered the Flyers getting shellacked by the Capitals when Emery rag-dolled Holtby. Then I remembered Emery passed away. |

No actually in your case it's about gloating in pessimism and loving it.

What's really needed is for this team to play like team. Pay attention to the little things. Play good team defense. As Elliot said last night, they played with no structure. I don't think he was saying the coach doesnt have a proper game plan. He was saying that were not executing. They were running around really pushing it offensively at the beginning of the game, but they totally forgot about any defensive play.

I saw it. I even made a comment about him rumbling towards the net to my husband, sadly he got caught and the puck taken from him before he even made the dot... |

I just want someone, anyone in this lineup that’s going to come out, play with anger in their game and get this team fired up!
Don’t want to make major changes? Fine. Use the open roster spot created with JVR on IR and bring up a guy like Goulbourne then. Sit Weal’s useless ass, move Laughton up to line 3 and put the kid on the 4th line.
On D, I don’t care how ready Myers is. Folin blows and AMac is clearly not 100% and anyone with eyes can see he is playing horribly right now. Put AMac back on IR for the minimum time allowed and bring up Myers. He can’t be any worse than AMac is right now or Folin is period. |

I just watched highlights and for the most part it looked like they were all rebounds and redirects. They did leave Elliot out to Dry. As for why he wasnt pulled. I think the answer is pretty obvious. Pickard is playing the next day, might as well keep him fresh. No point in throwing him into a game thats already over. |

I doubt Hak will get a new job in the AHL* after this. Straight back to College!!! |

As funny as this is, unless someone- Neuvy- gets waived and claimed (unlikely) or Hextall trades one (Stolarz or Pickard), I’m guessing they go 3 and 3. Still funny.
