I don't think there's much mystery with Goat... he's a huge person... and needs a bit of time to get rolling. His best games in the AHL were when he was getting on the ice regularly.

He said something about this being his future we're talking about as some justification while also suggesting he's not even involved and it's his agent doing everything... In what world is his future not set with something over $50 million? Hell, Leafs will probably even give most of it in signing bonuses like they've been doing with some other players lately.
