Ya I thought that was odd too. It seemed like the leafs were controlling a lot of the play and shots and then you look and they were outshot by a bit. Seemed odd to me.

I was almost going to watch the 1st 1/2 again, probably the owners 10 yr old grandson working the shot clock.......so i didnt bother

Whats up with Shattykirk? healthy scratch

havent paid close enough attention to the rangers

Other than being listed as a defenceman, i think that's where his defensive abilities end.

Ben Bishop best NHl goalie to start the season and the NHL's 3rd star looked like a sieve last night against these forwards.

All this D talk ignores the fact that in a 7 game series a team has to stop these forwards.

I bet he regrets taking a big discount to join the Rangers at this point. He signed for 4 years, could have had 6-7 elsewhere.

Ben Bishop doesn't exactly have an all-time D in front of him either tho.

The longer this goes on with the goals the more likely Willy gets moved for a D man. It's stupid to our offense could be even better with him but honestly one more D man and we're laughing

The stupid part is his decision. He might not be on Auston's wing if/when he returns.
He's 22. this was his year to have an amazing statistical season and he's blowing it.

Not a bad issue for the Leafs to have. He has a lot of value.

The team still needs to play way better team defence. It’s only been a couple games, they will tighten up.

Saying that hainsey was absolutely awful last night.

He'd get so many points by proxy he'd get his money anyway in the end.

What a twat

They did this last October. the GA will come down. And Freddie is never great in October.

It's scary they are 3-1 and playing "Meh" overall.

He's getting VERY bad advice. He is tossing away an opportunity so many talented young wingers would love to have.

Kadri hasn’t scored yet, no nylander, no goals from marleau. There is still lots to improve on which is crazy.

I did not check out his TOI, but Babs is dumb for giving Kadri less minutes in the first 3 games than last season. Forget about giving a 4th line C 9-10 minutes. At the very least give Kadri what he got last season.

Well he needs to give enough ice time to Tavares and Matthews, who are having a ridiculous start to their season.

I think it was an obvious possibility to see the third line being used a little less with two top centres on the team.

I would think with so much depth you'd role 3 and then in games with big leads give more to 3 & 4 so not to burn the top 2 out.

Leafs never managed to get big leads despite scoring like crazy.

Because they're also getting scored on like crazy.... just a little less.

He started giving kadri a shift with Matthews near the end. Maybe it was for another Centerman to take the draw or to get him going. Either way I don’t mind the idea if throwing kadri up with Tavares or Matthews every once in awhile to get homsomw extra toi.

Third game in four nights and we beat a good team on the road. When Andersen gets past his October malaise I don’t think we lose too many this year.

Sorry UG

Having that extra centre in crucial moment can be so important indeed.

And Kadri is no slouch so it's pretty much a win/win situation when you do.
