Great challenge by Babcock last night to calm the kids down after the Klingberg goal. - walshyleafsfan
Yup.
In fact instead of taking a timeout directly, it's better to challenge (more time than a regular time out) |

So Im torn here, on the one hand I wonder how this team would look with Willie here...on the other frank him and sit out
Any thoughts at this point on who should be "C" ? - mel_vin
Nylander's problem is not that they are winning. His problem is they are scoring a ton, and giving up a lot. The option of trading him becomes more viable every day.

Your friend UG (the sushi hater) made a point out of Leafs needing to trade Rielly - plantheparade
Oh.
Why would your friend say that? |

Sign him to a 4 year deal, trade him next season if....IF kap proves to be an ok replacement.
As of now its too early to even suggest that kap is. |

Leafs #1 offense with 20 goals in 4 games.
Leafs #31 defense with 17 goals against in 4 games.
Can't really be surprised by that but damn... - Unholy_Goalie
i am not surprised a team that has played 4 games has more total goals against than teams that have played 2 or 3
but its such a small sample and not worth talking about at this point...but there are currently 8 teams with a worse GAA than the Leafs |

You know what I think Glak was right about the leafs offense. - HealthyScratch6
He definitely was right.
The reality all you Laffs fans don't want to face is that, if you take away the Leafs top-6, they have a very average offense.

Who cares about the defense at this point of the season. Your team is fun to watch and you are winning. Embrace and enjoy it, guys!

We are.
But the problem is this was said this about our defense the past 3 years. |

So this luxury tax would help lower teams in the market obtain better players, thus making them subject to the luxury tax?
NHL teams are run like a business because they are.
I own an auto repair shop and wouldn't want to share my profits with another shop because i"m better or more popular. Nor would they, Thank god the government doesn't have revenue sharing this way, Or luxury tax. - sloppyseconds2
Understood. However this is the entertainment/sporting business and in order to keep the integrity of the league where every team has a fair chance to be able to win a championship you need the luxury. Otherwise, fans lose interest which results in less money. |

I think Reilly has something like 30 points in his last 25 gp. At 24 yo. That's awesome.
Thank god we didn't fail for nail or galchenyuk or freakerenko. |

Fake, I understand. But, holy crap, your star players are on fire. Not many teams get to see this kind of offense in a lifetime. |

That was easily their best game so far. They were much better clearing the D zone and played much more of the game in the oppositions end. I can put up with some individual bone head plays especially playing against one of the best lines in hockey. The Stars had run over their opponents in first two games and got steamrolled by the Leafs |

Yep, played a good game....not sure who was working the shot clock, maybe Stevie Wonder? At 1 time Dallas had double the shots and im sure it was reversed. |
