Back in 2009, Giroux missed 5 games with a concussion from a Princess Perry elbow.

Fraud Giroux is injury prone.

- jmatchett383

He had another one when Simmonds kneed him in the head so yeah injury prone

JVR has missed one game in the last 2 years so of course he comes to the Flyers and is promptly out 5-6 weeks

I didn’t realize JvR played here. Someone told me after he got hurt he was playing on the third line, wearing number 25 and getting 20 seconds of Power Play time.

I still have no clue what this guy was talking about.

Let me fill you in.

James van Riemsdyk is a professional ice hockey player. This past season, as an unrestricted free agent, he was signed by the Philadelphia Flyers hockey club to a 5-year contract with an average annual value of $7 million. He was assigned jersey number 25 and appeared in 2 regular season games before being injured by a puck fired into his knee in the first period of his second game.

He was, however, incorrect, as Van Riemsdyk played 4 minutes and 23 second of power play time per game pre-injury.

Yeah, it was a bit overboard, and I think he frightened some kids.

But I appreciate the gesture. And part of me hopes that it's not just a shtick, and that the Flyers just let a deranged man run amok in the suit from time to time.

I like to think he holds all the rage of us team neg guys in him somewhere. I love the personality he has so far, seems like a Stephen King character.

The year before that though he missed 40 games with a foot fracture....pretty disturbing trend
- YuenglingJagr

In 4 out of the last 5 years the guy missed 3 games with the 40 games being the rarity. so it goes to say of COURSE he would miss 5-6 weeks here. seriously tho, it sucks.

Anyone read article on TSN about Elliot getting seriously bruised? Ridiculous that these changes were made without any sort of testing.

Love the NHL logic on this one.

Let's reduce the padding of the guys who have frozen rubber discs fired at them at 100 mph, but let's keep the plate armor on skaters' shoulder pads.

Your logic isnt welcome. He's injury prone starting right now and it will cost us the season and the world is ending because JVR couldnt not fracture his knee when a puck struck it at 100 mph

I find it weird tbh...shouldn't there be more guys than Elliott complaining? Pics of said bruises? No idea what chesty he is using, but maybe he needs a new one.

Odd that this didn't come up during testing. They'll figure it out. Seems that it's not the padding but rather that there is no space between the arm and the sleeve.

Just means they havent been as vocal. Guess it also depends on where goalies are taking the shots. Perhaps Elliot has just been unlucky and has taken a lot of shots to the arm instead of more padded areas

Welcome, Jordan Weal, you are now in the showcase showdown.
Land on a $1 (play good strong hockey) and stay.
Anything less (always being outmuscled and flash dancing with no effect) bye bye!
