What? Ghost looked great to me.

Ghost was hardly covering Pavelski on his second goal. Miss match.

Smart of the Flyers to lower expectations right off the bat
- PhillySportsGuy

This is a gut check. Do the Flyers come out flying and bare down to bury 1 or 2 or do they become the Flyers of the past where they wait until 2 and a half mins left in the game to bring pressure.

Laughton has the most accurate shot I have ever seen, he can hit a goalie in the crest 10 out of 10 times.

He's not a finisher thats for sure.

Still don't know how he went in the first round.

Just wait until Hak get 10 year of NHL experience and a loudspeaker so the players can hear him!

He has shown NHL skill make no mistake, especially a decent shot, but offensive instincts at high speed is not his strong suit.

Pretty good start. Ghost looked great, along with the fourth line to be honest.

Couple soft goals and the gates opened. How they come out in the second says a lot. It’s been a long time since I remember Jake putting them on his back.

I think they just sagged after those first 2 goals.

The rest of the period they were scrambly and unsure.

Nahh. It’s one game.

They started out pretty well but Elliot put them in a hole and then the bleeding continued. A momentum save or two earlier in that period and it might be a different game.

They’ve got average goaltending at best, nights like this happen.

- flyer_nutter

The flyers the last two games have been absolute trash giving up odd man rushes. They have no presence in the neutral zone. The first goal was squarely on Provorov. He’s been a mess early on.

Provorov made a mistake, sure.

Elliot's job is to take the shooter on a 2 on 1 and he leaked that goal through his 5 hole.

A good goaltender bails out his guy on that play and he didn't do it.

Yup. The blame can go to the defense but Elliot hasn’t really helped them out at all either.

I’m going to throw a hot take out there. It’s one game. No need to panic but for me the blame toward the players and Hak at this point is outdated. This is Hextall’s team for a while. I don’t want him out, but the goalie carousel and condoning the coaches approach/player usage/call ups is on him as far as I am concerned.

We are not there by any means, but the results will have to come at some point. He better hope Hart pans out.

I truly don't understand the entire point of keeping Elliot in this game.

It was his turnover, but that happens. What was a shame was Ghost being too far into the O zone to help the odd man rush. Amac not covering his man helped them get goal # 2.

Elliot still in?

Showing faith I guess.
