They didn't trade him, he signed as a UFA in New Orleans. He also tore his labrum on one of, if not the last play of the season. New Orleans took a huge risk signing him and it paid off in spades.

Been travelling a bit. Nice to see the Sabres win their second in a row. Saw the hi-lights. That ECHL guy isn't bad. Beautiful passes from both Risto and Rhino. Glad we didn't dump the two of them this summer like many on this board suggested. My core includes:

ECHL, Mitts, Dahlin, Risto, Rhino, Skinner and Hutton

LOVE the Hutton pick up. What an upgrade at net. The guy can stop breakaways and handle the puck. Well done Botts.
