Okay. That's football. I'm talking about the Philadelphia Flyers, the local professional ice hockey team. And I said "If."

just sayin things could go bad for us pretty quick about that taking a step forward
we have 2 goalies that are soft as butter when it comes to injuries and simmonds and giroux could develop lingering injuries who knows

guys things could get really bad in philly fast

Wentz has been sacked what? 15 times already this season. I think he was only sacked 15 times total last season.

For a QB coming off a major injury, brace yourselves.

Their offensive line has been brutal. Wentz can't do everything out there. It has been frustrating to watch. Also, really didn't like how Pederson tried to go for it on 4th and 20 only to burn a time out because it appeared he was only trying to goad them into a 5 yard offsides penalty. I get it, but you need your timeouts in the end. Just an ugly two weeks.

At least the Cowboys lost last night and the Giants got their hearts ripped out yet again.

Yes. And Nolan Patrick could get hit by a bus and Ivan Provorov could decide he doesn't want to play hockey. Anything could go wrong. Things could also go very right. That is what the "if" part was about.

I also don't know what Carson Wentz has to do with the Flyers.

I believe they play the Saints. So you're right, high chance they lose. With regard to the Eagles still having a chance, agreed too. They can still win their division and get at least one home game.

Yes, after week 5 of a 17-week season, the Eagles shockingly have not been eliminated from playoff contention.

My biggest issue with yesterday, well not biggest but a big one, was the ridiculous challenge of that reception by the Vikings.

Joe Thornton's beard is now gone.

As such, the Sharks are doomed to mediocrity.

Top-20 is all-time points and assists, but not a lot of hardware, and is a very under-the-radar type. Is he a HOFer? if so, first ballot, or does he get in during a weak year?

Who currently playing is a sure-fire first ballot HHOFer as of right now (i.e. no Connor McDavid)? To me, the list is:

Ovechkin
Crosby
Malkin
VandeVelde
Chara
Kane
Lundqvist
Karlsson

I'm sure there's some I'm missing, but this is all I can think of.
