I'd ventrue a guess most fans don't look at the whole picture when judging comments from Babcock. Forget that we're all less qualified by an order a magnitude.
If you watch the interview he called out Hyman for being fantastic and a good reason for the early success of the Tavares line but no one wants to talk about him.
Babcock likes his skilled pairs and a puck retrieval guy. He see's all the tools in Kapanen (rightfully so) and wants him to be a Hyman type dog on the puck in o-season. If he can do that he can stay Matthew's winger.
