He really is American hey just like Kaner. Wont catch Cros or McD or any canadian boy celebrating like goofs like that. Take a note from Johnny T with his hatty, act like you've been there before. - Leichs

Some Oilers might do it if they ever score more than two goals, as a team. |

Yeah Babs infatuation with the 13th best player on the roster is quite confusing. |

Yeah, though hopefully the Leafs can sign him to a fair deal and not some inflated contract. Hyman/Brown style.
The good thing about Kap is that he brings something that other fwds dont so they can use him on the PK and in other situations. Babcock has said a few times that Kap has to find a way to be useful if he wants to make the team which I think is a way of saying he's not as skilled as Nylander or Marner but he's still a good player. He's done that so he's in a good position as a regular right now, and hopefully he keeps working on his game to get to the next level. - 13sundin13
its time to react properly and immediately (Because the media won't/can't) when Babs says "Kapanen needs to find a way to make himself useful"....
ask him what Ennis did to make himself useful enough to play 1st line minutes?
I love Babcock, but when he's spewing shyte he needs to called on it... subtly - questions like
"has Ennis done enough to keep himself in the lineup?"
"how would you characterize Kapanen's contributions during the Chicago game - did Matthews appear to have more jump when Kapanen joined his line"
"Ennis isn't your prototypical 4th liner... will the Goat get a chance in his place?"

that's classic Babcock... he doesn't want guys like Hyman and Kapanen to "gain to much confidence"...
but will blow smokes up Ennis a__...
so predictable
did he say anything about Ennis... of course he won't because that would indirectly questioning his own roster choices - which as we all know - are at times 'unusual'...
did he say how "great" Marincin was? |

I think they're giving him a chance to bounceback after some injuries, but that's what the 3rd/4th line is for.
I just don't see this guy sticking because we don't have a sheltered 3rd scoring line, Kadri's line gets tough matchups especially on the road, so we need a Brown on that line.

Babcock on promoting Kapanen: "Kappy is another big body. We'd like him to decide he wants to play like Hyman, that's what we'd like him to decide to do. Get to the net, be on the inside all the time, bring it every single night. If he can do that, he can play a big part."

Brown's a useful, defensively-responsible forward who plays on the PK and can chip in 10-15 a year making very little. Nothing wrong with Brown at all. |

I think he doesn't want him to be a perimeter guy, someone who doesn't engage on the forecheck. I'd be ok with that side of his game developing more. |

Did you see Matthews smiling when Kane did it seconds after?
Yeah, that is because him and Kane are friends. That is what it was all about. If you don't understand something, you shouldn't comment. - Aetherial
don't bother try to explain it...
"that Matthew's guy should be suspended for show-boating"
"Kane looked awesome doing the same thing 2 years ago"

the Ennis experiment should be over... he can't play with Matthews it seems
if you put Ennis with Kadri - Kadri will be carrying him like Matthews tried to. Anyone of Leivo,Johnsson, Goat, Brown are going to be substantially more versatile than Ennis in a 3rd or 4th line role. |
