I'll get dumped on for this but I actually like Marincin. I root for him to do well, he's not an elite defenseman obviously but I hope he can put it all together. Confidence is his biggest issue and I think if he can just play his game he can be effective.

Dubas is so convinced Leafs D is much better than most people think, he didn't address upgrade on D.... Not Dubas fault he's stuck with Ozhiganov - Holl - Marincin - Hainsey - Gardiner as subsubsuboptimal options..

Babcock specifically asked for marincin and oz, that is why carrick was traded.... So yeah it is partially his fault.

The guy always looks lost and it shows he has no clue what is actually going on..

sure on top of his list there were another 20 other players before Marincin and Ozhiganov - but Dubas made it very clear he didn't want to make an upgrade on D (by trading away one of Toronto's FWs).

I think he hasn't fully been able to because he gets in his own way. We'll see tonight, I'd say to Marincin haters to try to watch tonight's game without any pre-existing bias about Marincin's past and assess him that way, rather than looking for him to screw up. To me a successful outing would be if he's able to limit the cycle and move the puck out of the zone at a decent rate. I honestly have no idea how it will go for him, he could end up making a bunch of mistakes and totally prove me wrong but I'm rooting for him!

Because the price isn't worth it rit now. It's pretty simple. You don't trade a great asset to address an area of weakness if there isn't something worthwhile available, or else you end up with a hall for Larson situation and that be just dumb.

it's not about the singer (mediocre at best) - but about the passion.
leafs should get rid of the teenage girl, and get singer(s) that sing the national anthem with pride and passion.
