I don't think he cares he wants a certain number the Leafs aren't willing to give but likely other teams would. His father was an NHL player for years I doubt money is an issue in terms of missing out on salary for a year.

He may not be struggling for money, but are you suggesting he'd be OK not playing hockey for a full year, rather than sign a bridge deal?

I like kapanen a lot with Matthews
His speed gives opposing D men fits. He almost set up 34 again for another goal

He doesn't have the option of negotiating with other teams. He either signs what the leafs want him to sign for or he doesn't play and then he comes back next year and the same offer is still on the table. If he's worried about losing 16million over 8 years you think he'll be okay with losing. 6.5million this year.

Nylander is overrated and soft but everyone wants the leafs to trade him to their team.
- HealthyScratch6

exactly.

just as Tavares became crap the moment he signed with Toronto.

Leafs have to sign FlowLander to a 8M CAP hit... but he's worth a random roster player and a late 1st

Nope. Defensively. A rare concept for Leafs forwards.

Hughson and Simpson really know how to stymie the emotion and tension of a 1 goal 3rd period.

Literally didn’t mention the breakaway and then calls him Sami Kapanen.

Been saying since camp that he's the only viable Nylander replacement because of his speed and decent vision. He's not Nylander level playmaking, but he can curl back and find Matthews or a trailer just as well.

Wish Brown was on the ice. No point just standing around and collapsing.

I've never seen a player on the leafs get soany breakaways. Averages like 2 per game.

Shouldn't score from that angle. Sparks needs to seal the short side there.

Probably wouldn't have scored if Brown was on the ice.
