Really? Do you think the Leaf management would that? - sabreadvocate1
No
The Leafs lost a game and feel the need to blame someone for not going 82-0 this season

They went from dead last to Cup favourite in two years, so some people on forums want to fire Babs because he's holding back Sami Kapanen's kid or whatever. Luckily Leaf management isn't tweaking on VHS tape head cleaner. |

Matthews and Laine both have 136 career NHL points, although Laine has played 11 more games, I never would have thought it'd be that close? I thought Matthews would be much further ahead.
1 Toronto Auston Matthews C Zurich SC [Swiss-A] 146 77 59 136
2 Winnipeg Patrik Laine R Tappara Tampere [SM-liiga] 157 81 55 136 |

I think if you watch both you would know which one is further ahead...the Center position IMO is much more valuable than the Wing |

You thought Matthews would be much further ahead despite playing almost 2 hours less on the PP than Laine?
Bloody hell. Give the guy a chance.
Wheeler, Scheifele, Buff,Connor
Or
Nylander, Komarov, Gardiner, Marleau.
You expect a lot Lefty |

I think Matthews point totals will blow up with the PP unit he’s on.
He was on the 2nd unit the past two years...how (frank)ed is that |

Yeah I guess missing 20 games last year really cut into that race, just surprised me it was close even with Matthews missing so much time last year. I guess what I'm saying is, I didn't realize Laine was that good. |

Absolutely will this season. He's already on track for 123 goals.
I don't even mean Matthews needs the Jets PP members to pull ahead. Give Matthews 2 more hours on the PP than Laine this year and those points totals are not even close.

Laine is phenomenal (at shooting). Amazing guy to have on the PP. Two really good players |

Laine is an unbelievable scorer, but Matthews' total game is a level above. As mentioned above, watch Matthews increase that lead this year with more PP and ice time. |

I suspect Matthews has an 85 point year this year if he plays all or most of the games, Tavares like. |

I think Matthews pushes 50 goals.

I agree, people underestimate that.
2 more hours playing with an extra man helps |

He's gotta be more than a goal scorer if he wants the money though, as a center he's gotta distribute the puck too. |

He can do that as well...No one should be questioning his playmaking ability. He will just score a lot of goals he’s a natural goal scorer. |

Holy frank, last night was a disgrace.
Our defence is franking horrible. We need an upgrade if we want to make any noise in the playoffs.

He's been dishing it to Hyman for 2 years. Still no assists.
It's him and Nylander who can put up the points on that line. |

Need a 3rd pairing of Carrick and Polak.
They're ripping the easier West to shreds. |

If you think he wasn't bad then I don't know what to say. Gave the puck away every time he touched it, falling down all the time. He was noticibly terrible. - burn
I read this from a poster on another site...Just about sums it up..
Ennis has some nifty mitts but God does he ever get thrown around like a ragdoll. He can't protect the puck and is eventually gonna get hurt again along the boards. |

Last night (I ink it was gravy face) said Ennis looks like a toy poodle trying to play around with the Great Danes and huskys and keeps getting rolled. |
