If Nylander gets $8m, I assume Marner is also an automatic at $8m. as well. My guess is those combined salaries are about $4m more than what the Shanaplan anticipates. Matthews will be good value in the $11.25m range. Tavares is a huge CAP hit.

I don't have any beef with any of the contracts individually. They are all great players.

My question is more about distribution and the need to convert one of those high end contracts into a long term deal for a stud Dman.

Maybe consideration needs to be given to moving Nylander for a top ranked Dman?
