I won't dare say the Habs are a good team. That'd just be silly.

But they'll surprise a few teams if they keep playing the way they have since day 1 of the preseason.

It's day 3. They'll be eliminated by the end of October.

There is nothing to blow up. No quality assets equals stuck in awful land.

Both Habs and Sens look like the Leafs from a 3 years ago... lots of young guys working hard.

Let's see how they look in November and December.

Leafs had young quality assets three years ago. The Habs have a young Finish center who scored an amazing 29 points last year. What's the ceiling? A 3rd line center at best?

He looks like a great young player right now. I suspect a couple years to really put it together and get used to the NHL for a whole season.

And the lightning ice a team of all stars but can never get it done in the playoffs, also embarassing

Why you pickin' on the Habs?

Price is one of my favourite hockey players.

Bolts aren't old enough to pick on an original 6 team. Only we can pick on them.

The 2004 win that I remember must have been an EA Sport simulation.

I always pick on the worst NHL team. This year, I think it's the Habs. I don't think it's close either.

No one is taking them seriously right now. Looks like playing an AHL caliber team.

Give it a few games.

Why on earth would Price be anyone's favorite goalie? I can think of at least 20 other goaltenders I would prefer on my team. In fact, I would take both of the Bolts' goalies before Price.

So I guess the shot attempts were 80-40 for the leafs.

Just keep doing that.

My bad. His 16 NHL win record last year is very impressive.

You do some of your best work in the Sens thread. Been a longtime fan of what you bring to that thread.

Yes - PLEEEZE end the Ennis experiment...
and then don't bench someone else farther down the line-up for him

Babcock - I know you real all of our posts intently - please put Matthews with Hyman and Brown.

Put Marleau and Kadri with Kapanen or Leivo
Tavares Marner Kapanen or Leivo

get two goons for the fourth line

Leafs bore me when they play like that.

- BorjeFan4Ever

Ennis looked decent, made a great play on the Matthews goal and turned over some pucks. He was probably one of the harder working players in the game on a team that seems desperate for any kind of intensity. The Leafs just look so casual out there.
