Can't wait to see what Toronto can do against the Caps, Lightning, Pens or Bruins.

Kapanen has good abilities like skating a shot but I don't think he has much of a head for it so I disagree but what the (frank) do I know.
- HealthyScratch6

I don't think you're wrong in this case.

I think Ennis is just inconsistent. He has a few good shifts and disappears. He sucked last game but looks okay to me this period.

He's better on the 3rd line where he can be the "guy" except I don't want him on our 3rd. Maybe 4th, drive the play with limited minutes.

28 years old, 5'9", banged up over his career, there's only so much we can expect out of him and playing 16 minutes a night isn't where he should be.

Having talent is overrated. Working hard is what gets you wins.
Nylander for Komarov and a 3rd.

And when Nylander signs, that's exactly what's going to happen.

Seems like leafs are always in tough against teams they should beat and turn it up against good teams. I remember them having a lot of good games with Tampa last year.

Ennis: bad pass to Gardiner into his skates so can't get a good shot off, coughs it up behind the net, can't retrieve from corner because he's not strong enough.

That Nashville game was one of the best of the season, too.

Islanders understand this. That's why they traded tavares for Martin and komarov.

Sure wish we had a few guys with some 'jam'.. when Dermont is your most physical player, you may need some team toughness...

Would it be bad in a game like this to have Martin and Uncle Leo on the 4th line bangin away???

But what do I know... we will just skill our way to winning and everyone will give up at our superior talent.

He shouldn't be playing with Matthews right now, that's my point.

It's game 2, whatever, but Babs gets stubborn sometimes.

Talent+work ethic+fearless grit

So far in 1 and a half games we have displayed talent... the other 2? Not so much

Simmonds or Wilson minus the cheap shots would be welcome. You don't need guys like Martin or komarov.

The counter to that though is that aren't really any better options. Kap isn't better.
You also can't call anyone stubborn after 2 games. Thats the complete opposite. He's not impatient. Nor should he be. Reevaluate after 5/6 games.

I think they are playing good.

Bad luck and Andersen is playing like poop. If this keeps up they should win...hopefully.

I would rather see Brown or Kap given a chance beside Matthews...

Totally agree. We have absolutely none of this on team. Closest is Kadri
