If the Leafs move Nylander, they have to get more than just a defensive, 2nd pairing D. The Leafs need legit players, not draft picks, in exchange for Nylander.

He’s a RFA so he’s pretty much screwed. He has to sign or sit. The Leafs can win without him for now so my guess he’s starting to sweat 😓 a little bit.

Nylander at 7 per isnt exactly big bucks..

The new GM/Owner would look at guy like Nylander because he could be the guy they bring in to put their own personal stamp on the team.

Pesce is a good young D....but he shall not be overrated because he’s a D. He got 4 million for a reason. And in fact he was better the year before last year when he got the contract.

Meh, Larsson and Pesce are pretty different players. Pesce is much more like a Tanev. He doesn't get paid more because he doesn't put up points, but he's the new style of D-man like Spurgeon and Vlasic - smart without the puck, good gap control, and makes the safe play. He'd be a perfect partner with Rielly, but he's going nowhere.

I don’t want Dubas to trade nylander or 34 or 16 period. These guys have me so invested with interest and excitement once again. Last time I was that excited was in 93 with Clark and Gilmour against kings and Kerry Fraser.

If the really must trade 29 Cory perry in Anaheim is out for months and 29 could be an excellent trade chip to ducks
