We are a very young team and the response to giving up the first goal made that extremely clear. The wheels fell right off and the Sabres couldn’t get a anything at all going after that

I actually don’t think the bruins were anything special played their game zero push back from the Sabres.
I get we are not an all star team, but there’s no flow to their game, no effort, I don’t expect a 50 win season but just some exciting hockey.
We waited all offseason to get shut out by jaro halak in our home opener.
I just can’t stand the lack of passion with this team.

I’m torn, I was excited for some good fast skilled hockey and we got a load of dump and chase and one and done opportunities.

That being said

Goaltending looks better.
The Sabres play before giving up the first goal was very promising.
Dahlin didn’t look out of place at all on the second pair in his first game ever.

I'm sick of this (frank)ing sh!t. Sorry but after sitting through every season since day 1 my patience is razor thin. I know it's just the first game and there are a lot of new players but the effort tonight was abhorrent.

Their offensive game absolutely needs help in a big way.

I was ready to jump off the Grant St. Scajaquada overpass after the first, but the questionable guys looked good (Okposo, Erod, Pommer, Sobotka)

The team looked slow in the first - and nervous.

Eichel was horrible. That's very rare.

I agree. I think that's better than the alternative, though. The cream will rise to the top. It's reassuring that the bottom guys look pretty goddamn good
