His has a NTC and why would they trade him if they didn't have to during a season where they don't have their 1st round pick and are a lottery team without him? Karlsson didn't want to be there anymore, he just doesn't want to say it because it hurts his PR and legacy.

He's not completely wrong if you understood the analogy. It helps the drunk stand but it won't make him sober. Analytics are a very useful tool but if a team relies too much on them, they're going to make a lot of mistakes too. Just like a team that doesn't use them at all, they too will be missing a lot of valuable information that all your opponents have access too.

I think Dubas is really great at what he does because he's very well balanced. He doesn't over use any of his tools, even though everybody labels him as an advanced stats guy. He is one, in the sense that he uses them, but I don't think he bases everything he does on them either.

He also said in another interview he hadn't talked to management or ownership for several months until he got traded so maybe he didn't know the whole story either and he's guessing a little bit too.

Nope, Gudas and Wilson have to play on the line or they don't have any other redeeming quality to their game. It's even worse for players like Marchand and Kadri who don't have to play like that, but do anyway.
