#1 rule of NHL refereeing, always make the powerplays balance as closely as possible. It happens to every team.

In some respect it seems that way. On the other hand, a team destined for the lottery has had the Leafs running around in their own zone a number of times.

We didnt show up the first 10 min of the 1st period, and Montreal is just using speed and naximum effort. And we still havent figured out how not to shoot ourselves in the foot.

One of those games imo leafs will win on talent even though they were outworked a lot in the game.

Leafs get 2 pts, but it will be a bit of learning curve/ first game of the year. Everyone has the jitters, just can’t go 1-6 like the oilers last year, or whatever they started out at.

I think they’ll be decent this year. Tough division unless one of the top teams falter. Probably finish outside the playoffs but within striking distance.[/img]
