The wins are probably going to come few and far between this season. Be nice to enjoy a win without certain people trying to bring others down to their level of depression all the time.

has anyone been super negative in here since the game last night? I haven't seen anyone write anything but praise (while keeping expectations realistic)?

Haven't seen anyone purposely trying to bring anyone down? Some just see the team from their perspective for what it probably is and don't get too high or too low.
- Pacificgem

You dont think that when someone is enjoying something and you walk in and say it wont last, that they are going to keep smiling? Or next game if they lose someone will say "I told you it wouldnt last".

Being realistic while enjoying the Pettersson show doesn't mean someone is trying to purposely bring you down. It's just their opinion. Don't be so soft.

I really liked watching Pettersson display his offensive talent last night, brought me hope and a smile.

Doesn't mean I didn't notice they were outplayed five on five and they played against a poopty goaltender and ours was really good, still a damn great night!!

Just like the losses are probably going to come fast and furious this year and it would be nice not to have the bi-polars planning the parade and then on the verge of self distraction. Goes both ways...

😂 its a (frank)en saying dude. I could care less, i just think its funny that the team wins and people feel the need to come in and temper expectations for others.

I guess I should just say "thanks dad"

I don't know when it became invalid to have multiple opinions on one game? Games can be full of both positive and negative moments, some see only one or the other, some both, that's what discussion boards are for.

Who exactly are the bi-polars? The guys who think the team will reach 80 points max? Lol.

I have never heard this saying.

People aren't trying to temper expectations of others. Anyone who posts their opinion about anything Canuck related, others who read it and don't exactly relate/agree, will either see it as optimism or pessimism. Its all about how you look at what other people post and not taking it too seriously.

Boeser looked scared to shoot the puck. Passed out at times, poorly, which created a few turnovers.

Fun game, it was nice to see the team's efforts level maxed out after a lackadaisical preseason.

Markstrom, Tanev, Stretcher Gudbranson and the PK deserve a lot of credit for thier strong play.

Tanev looked as good as he has ever looked, his shot off the bar early set the tone for him.

I don't think the forwards change but hope Pouliot is pulled

I was rooting for the Flames but you guys looked damn good last night. The team had speed and the young kids looked poised.

I didn't think he was too bad. I did notice that Stecher and Pouliot were a lot more aggressive in the offensive zone. Not sure If that is Green's way of giving the greenlight to the D to jump up in the play and generate some offense (Pouliot on the 2 on 1 with Pettersson, and Stecher getting a breakaway)

So how do we work a Tanev for Nylander trade?

Forgive me everyone on these boards for possibly kicking a dead horse.....

But I come on here once every 2 months it seems

Its a interesting thought anyway. Wonder what it would take to get done

That is something I would dispute, low 90’s maybe.
