Gudbransen played probably his best game as a Canuck.

He had some big hits in the preseason. He is now playing big.

Fuken twitter last night Pass it to Bullsh1t whining about Gudbrandson fighting and took away EP scoring chance.

Almost as ridiculous as no celebrating goals in here after we score

Wonder how much injuries actually limited him last year, versus him just getting the message to hit more?

You can see Canucks will need two shut down lines this year . Motte over 21 minutes last night.

I have no problem with the fight. Hamonic was stupid for going after him.

That’s huge minutes and a ton of trust on Greens part giving him those tough shifts.

I like his energy. This is what I expected in preseason.

Don’t think it will be that high regularly. 14 minutes in PK time for the team skews it a bit. But good on him, he’s earned it and is running with the ball!

What a fun game. Pettersson... amazing and impressive also seeing him clean up many of his gambles...

Motte... hero performance on the PK...deserved the empty netter.

Markstrom was good... didnt deserve the shut out with the wandering but he was in front of the puck when he was needed the most.

The Canucks will definitely get the most out of Goldobin by playing him with EP. Looked pretty good. EP will learn this guy no problem.

I liked Guddy tonight. Very physical. He didn't deserve the hooking call, that was clean stick lift. Nice fight... gentlemen as always. No late throws and decisive.

Speaking of officiating. There were at least 2 calls the Canucks didn't deserve and quite a few they should have called on the Flames. They really try their best to spoil a great game sometimes.

Good on all counts here.

Yes...officiating. Nucks don't get any favors at the best of times but very one sided for the Flames last night. They sure were trying to get them back in the game when it was 4-1. But it is what it is. Kind of a sloppy game at times too.

LE actually looked good (?) last night — he was quick and engaged. Trying and skating out there.

I thought Bo/Brock/Sven looked off. I think they’re figuring out the weight of first line responsibilities: to score and getting the other teams top pair. Bo’s trying too much on his own, Brock isn’t getting/creating as much space.

Wouldn't be shocked to see a bit of a sophomore slump with Brock. He'll need time to get in tune with his new body and flow. looks like he bulked up quite a bit over summer.

Game one. Like I said a few times wait until the 20 game mark and by then we should have a good feel.

In the preseason we were getting chances but not finishing. If we can become consistent with finishing then we won't be horrible.

For all of those wondering, 9 forwards last night, were 25 years old or younger.
