My friend just texted me and asked who was driving such and such truck number from my company. I asked why and he says because whoever it was just picked up a hooker. I laughed and told him it was my boss. When my boss gets back I am going to ask how his nooner was. I can't wait to see the look on his face. He left for lunch and still isn't back yet. It is one of my good friends totally credible. - thundachunk

On this day in 1997, the @Canucks named Mark Messier as their new team captain #Hockey365 - LeftCoaster
On this day in 2018, Carol Schram mention this exact same thing ....except to say he who will not be mentioned.
Think about all the trauma you have caused, think of poor Marwood....it’s probably too late, I’m sure the damage has been done. |

I am not suggesting Sutter be captain , I am suggesting letting him handle the media this year. IMO there is no need for a captain right now.
I don't see Tanev or Edler being vocal with the refs , the media or the team. I thought Gudbrandson would be a better choice than Tanev but overall it really doesn't matter.
Sutter Edler Tanev could all be gone next year . - VANTEL
Make LE captain. Just imagine him fielding Q’s all the time about his scoring etc.
Scare him shltless & make him score 😂😂 |

I don't necessarily think a complete ban on video games is the best option for the guys but it's certainly better than having them not bond as a team. - NorthNuck
The country club atmosphere is dead.
Torts would be thrilled. |

Rather players eat sleep & play hockey. Crucial times for us & need EVERYONE pulling in the same direction. Plenty of other time for time wasting stuff. Discipline & great work habits are trademarks of the best Pros IMO. Taking a well played career making the NHL should never be taken for granted. Gotta be hungry & driven. |

The ban is dumb. When they go out bonding, specifically at night as Bo says, who's going to stay behind and keep Pettersson company? Or will they never go to a bar this year to prevent anyone from feeling isolated? |

They will go to the movie theatre Whitey. Or a restaurant like an earls or cactus. Do you think the players go clubbing on the road? They don’t. Most of the players barely drink |

movie theatre is such a good place to talk and bond. Maybe they will be the first group of people to solve an escape room in every NHL city? Or finish an entire game of monopoly over the course of the season? That would be a feat! |

Pretty impressive for the draft class to have the top-5 make opening day (and presumably 6 of 7 if Hughes had left college) - WhiteLie
I would actually think it's a bad thing. Sad rosters. |

Gagner, 50% retained, plus a 6th round pick for a bag of cocaine and a life sized “Gritty” costume |

Well I didn't want to create hostile team mentality by pitting them against each other in dangerous Fortnite-like warfare
Do you think they are going to stop playing poker on the airplane too? Gambling is also highly addictive and not a team bonding exercise. The team needs to be protected!!!!! |

Haven't seen much of the others play, but I assume the kids have handled themselves ok and earned spots. Though the Hayton one was a bit surprising |

Just poking at the ridiculousness of it all. People have interests outside of hockey, and playing video games has been the hobby of kids for the past 20+ years, telling someone how to use their free time is overkill to me |

Lol. I do agree with Bo though. The kids can play video games when they are back in Van. See the world/ bond etc. Oh. And also pursue 3somes with hot broads |

I don't disagree either, they should definitely explore the cities they visit. I would just rather they have mandatory outings and dinners than simply banning things |

Very true. If on ice performance is at its highest no probs. |
