I've got to say, when goaltending issues were ever mentioned in regards to you guys, I would never of guessed it would have started like this.

Seriously, it isn't that big of an issue. At least if Sparks was feeling the pressure, that should have gone now there's no one to take his place! Who knows, it might actually be the best thing that happens to Sparks this year that can kick start his NHL career.

If Sparks doesn't play well in his first / first 2 games, I guess the obvious option for Leafs would be to go out and sign one of these guys to a 1year contract (low salary):

- Steve Mason
- Kari Lehtonen

Not sure if I'm a big fan of either - Mason over Lehtonen for sure.

Not too sure whether Leafs can indeed bring back McSavey or Pickard on the cheap in a few weeks..

Seems like 2 claimed goalies could've been tradeable assets. And now we're hoping unproven 5parks can replace Mcbackup's excellent play from last season. And if we have a goalie injury, we have to put the equipment manager in.

How

You don’t think Dubas tried to trade them all summer?

Losing Mcbackup is a nothing move

He has been put through waivers twice in the last few years and is a year or two away from retirement...goalies like him are a dime a dozen.

Losing Pickard kind of sucks but he cleared waivers last season and was traded for a 6th round pick. And played 1/3 of a season in the AHL last year. Another Pickard could be had for a 6th again.

Enough with this nonsense

It’s not like Dubas had traded a player just before putting him on waivers for a late pick. He probably never even thought about it.

My favourite was reading one guy on here saying Chicago would of given a 5th for Carrick and Dubas made a mistake by not doing so....like seriously I can’t make this poop up

McHasek and Pickard were claimed because the Flyers and Canes have a goalie injured. Once they return, it’s very likely one, if not both, of McVeznia and/or the other guy will be placed on waivers again.

Yep. Mrazek or Mcbackup will be on waivers soon enough. And when they clear the Leafs will be more than fine paying 1.5 million or 950k to play one in the minors. The Canes will sure has hell not.

No, you're wrong. Andersen is tired, so tired, I heard he's playing a single game this season then resting until the Playoffs start.

We're (frank)ed. So so so so so so so so so so (frank)ed.
