3 at the most. Elliott, Neuvirth, Pickard.

If they waive him and he clears, does he count towards roster limit?

- jmatchett383

he needs to be sent down in order to not be on the roster...he needs to clear waivers in order to be sent down

not sure how losing a top 6 center and probable linemate on the PP wouldn't

Not saying he isn't going to be a great player, he might become another Couts.

But, if any of Zadina, Hughes, Dobson or Boqvist go on to have better careers, then you have to consider that pick to be a reach. It's not like it wasn't questioned at the time of the draft.

I really don't know where Couturier comes in tbh. Know who reminds me of Coots? Kotkaniemi. Same unbelievably high IQ, mature 2-way game, makes every linemate better, drives play like a mofo, size to grow into (along with strong cycle game), mediocre skating, dangerous shooting (which Coots more developed over time, whereas Kotkaniemi is better at the same age, especially his one-t).

If I'm picking a recent Flyer who Hayton reminds me of it's......wait for it.....Schenn. Think his 200ft/IQ game is somewhat overstated, better shooter than passer (but not bad), some nifty hands at times, not the quickest player (worse than Schenn at same stage imo), similar size, not totally sold on him at center. Schenn was just more raw talented though. So, maybe like 50-60 point Schenn is a good ceiling.

Think you'll find it rather hard to disagree with this 1st round top 10....

1. Boqvist
2. Veleno
3. Kaut
4. Svech
5. Foudy
6. Miller (I'm not racist)
7. Zadina
8. Hayton
9. Dellandrea
10. JOB

But of course we know where Patrick would rank in this draft. Dayummmmm.

- Mononoke

zadina isnt my style and dellandrea at 9 is more of a reach than his actual draft position

just a standard this guy has more value than the # of points he scores with a reference to the Flyers, specifically at a young age

Yep they kept him...so Stolarz is gone tomorrow unless Pickard isn't ready to back up Thursday night. Pickard is listed as non-roster for now (didn't even know you could do that lol)

Dellandrea passes my criteria of "would look good in WWII fighting Nazis." Throughout his draft year I'm like......I don't know, man.....but by draft time he cleaned up well. Definite late riser. Zadina also passes the WWII test. Zadina has a low key cool factor. Like he could be a noir detective, cigarette in his mouth. Whereas, Hayton is okay. And yet, he looks like a smug prep school d-bag who worked out every day with Judge Kavanaugh. It irks me.

Yes, unless he's actually sent to the Phantoms.

I would waive and demote Neuvirth before doing it to Stolarz. Like Weise or Lehtera, Neuvirth makes too much money to be claimed.

I actually want him to play though, so I want them to send down Stolarz

Let's just say that Patrick and Barzal are demigods so far beyond those measly mortals that even comparing them would be heresy. They are generational.
