I do believe he was referring to the immortal Jesse Boulerice.

Looks like Barrett Hayton is at least getting a 9 game tryout with the Coyotes. Probably puts a little more pressure on Frost this year
- YuenglingJagr

That draft pick is either going to look like an amazing pick, or absolutely terrible. I can't see him being ready for the NHL right away.

I felt he had some Couturier-esque skills to him, though I did not watch Coots in jrs. Was just a guy he reminded me of when watching SSM. I must say I am more surprised he went 5th than I am he made an NHL roster. I expect the coyotes to do relatively well this year.

nof sure what to think of the pickard claim. I'm sure he's more durable than neuvy so there's that. Also hop he gets a start to see what he can do.

"See, erreebody?!We took him 5th overall because we are smarter than other teams. He's actually NHL ready. So smart."

*gets sent down before 9 games*

He's not NHL ready. He didn't even put up a p/pg last year. Seems more an attempt at validation than anything merit based. But there have been a lot of weird roster decisions with young players this fall.

One of the reasons is now they can get the proper seasoning for Hart in the AHL. He is important to their future and to have to rush him at this point would not be very prudent or smart.

Bergeron 2.0, don't ya know? Fine player, but I don't see it. I think he's relatively safe, nothing wrong with him. Has low-mid 2C potential, maybe LW. But boy did he get the narrative wheels spinning in overdrive last spring. I think because it was an incredibly weak center draft. See Dallas for more information.

Not saying he isn't going to be a great player, he might become another Couts.

But, if any of Zadina, Hughes, Dobson or Boqvist go on to have better careers, then you have to consider that pick to be a reach. It's not like it wasn't questioned at the time of the draft.

Sending Weise to the minors is the right move but I really dont see the point in writing sadistic and disrespectful stories about him. If he figures it out and comes back as the player we hoped they were signing I will he happy to root for him as a Flyer.
- Baxter27

I agree that the post you cited was over the top, however, I won't be rooting for Weise...he's played like a dog his entire tenure so far and his apathy couldn't be more apparent.

So there are 6 goalies... I think based on history and this preseason, Neuvy is now last on that ranking. No matter how he plays when available, the fact that he is injured so frequently greatly reduces his value. His contract is up this year, and I think it is safe to say he will not be resigned. I don’t think he has trade value. If put on waivers, he will clear. He may end up in LV.

When he comes back, I'd put him on waivers, but not necessarily send him down.

Think you'll find it rather hard to disagree with this 1st round top 10....

1. Boqvist
2. Veleno
3. Kaut
4. Svech
5. Foudy
6. Miller (I'm not racist)
7. Zadina
8. Hayton
9. Dellandrea
10. JOB

But of course we know where Patrick would rank in this draft. Dayummmmm.

Chayka loves him some teens. He was happy to give Florida a 2nd instead of a 3rd rounder in order to let Lawson Crouse cruise his way to 12 points in 72 games as a rookie getting less than 12 minutes a game.

How many goalies are you willing to carry? 3 is a lot, 4 would be ludicrous.

3 at the most. Elliott, Neuvirth, Pickard.

If they waive him and he clears, does he count towards roster limit?
