I've heard it said on here over and over Sutters wingers are positions where NHL careers go to die. Last game his wingers were Archiebald and Gagner . Coincedence?

Sutter likes to carry the puck & not known as a good distributor. Its why IMO he is best suited as a 3C checking role & PK & who can score some goals nothing else.

Wingers best suited for Sutter are Granlund Roussel Leipsic Motte Schaller. Aka none that are expected to be scorers of any note.

Thanks Carol, I am going to go with:

Last in the Pacific
Last in the Western Conference
30th overall

The Metro and Atlantic divisions have multiple contenders for the bottom 5, whereas I feel the Canucks are the clear front (or bottom) runners in the West, so I think there will be enough head-to-head series that will give multiple points to the NY teams, Ottawa, Montreal, and Detroit to have most of them finish ahead of the Canucks

There is no way Montreal finishes ahead of Vancouver. Vancouver is superior in goal, up front and their D is miles ahead of Montreal.

What strain do you use? Must be powerful poop based on your post.

Edit: Clearwater is a crazy place. Well, it was when I was younger.

Believe what you may. I am of the opinion that Price is one of the worst goaltenders in the league. No doubt that he's the worst starter.

If you do not believe me, please have a look at the goaltender with the most losses in NHL history. Price is currently on pace to surpass that record midway through this current contract.

Montreal has no top 6 player on their roster. I have looked at all rosters in the league and they are the only team in the league to not have one single top 6 player.

Their D is one of the biggest dumpster fires in NHL history. Our D group in Syracuse is vastly superior.

Sure but here’s the difference:

Montreal plays in a division with Ottawa.

Vancouver is the Ottawa of their division.

Do you think Benning would prefer one or three year contracts? Sadly we have to pay a premium to get any FA that has more than one suiter. We are at the bottom of the barrel as far as free agent destinations go. He clearly didn’t want any of the players that were available for one year contracts. Rightly or wrongly. Either way, I’m surprised so many are arguing. Seeing Gagner waived is the highlight of the offseason for me

Gagner was no worse than beagle and Schaller.

- classic321

i think there's more to it

probably counting on him not getting picked up due to his contract

so you know he'll clear and 1) mentor the kids in utica 2) be available for call ups in whatever situation

but then there's also the small chance that someone could pick him up on the wire and we'd be free of his contract

additionally this could be the type of move that spurs his agent to try and get him traded (which again is a win for everyone)

probably a sentiment that granlund and schaller more likely to be claimed also

tbh im really (frank)ing surprised benning made this move but i'm down

Prices contract is one of the worst but he is still a superior goalie. It's not his fault the Canadiens are mismanaged to a Benning level.

Here wussy wussy wussy.

After brock signs for 6m x 8y maybe we can sign Peterson early for 1.5m......

But enough foreplay.

Here's an interesting article about Gaunce.
Not really about him but about the value of late round draft picks.

You are right. Price is horrible and their top center is a bottom 6 winger. MTL is insanely bad

He's terrible. End point. Worst contract in NHL history and most likely in pro-sports.
