Way for MB to double down on a terrible trade.... never gonna get rid of this (frank)er and he will be on crutches by the time this team is back to just being mediocre.

Captain? He should have been traded.

What a complete fail.

- Mashadar

But then we couldn't call him "Captain Crutch". Where's the fun in that?

Funny how Burns is considered awesome at 33 but Weber is old garbage and needs crutches. I understand the trade was bad and I would love to have P.K., but Weber is still an elite defenseman.

The guy has 9 straight healthy seasons in a row before last year. Not exactly injury prone. Didn’t markov have two knees rebuilt at 38? Weber has never been a speedy defenseman. He’s arguably the best defensively in the league, gets the puck out quick, and has a booming shot. More importantly, he intimidates the opposition.

Weber still has a good 5 years in him, but obviously not as good as he was at 27. Look at the impact chara just had at 40.

Speed and mobility were never Weber's strongpoint, with the injuries piling up and the innactivy both players are in very different situations.

As for the intimidation factor I don't see it. Price still gets run into as much as before and I can't recall Weber taking care of a guy who did.

Est-ce que ya des gens qui vont sérieusement encore se préoccuper sur les intentions du capitaine par rapport au français? On peux tu juste s'en calisser un moment donné?

It's also funny that Neimi can win games behind this horrible D for 10x less money than Price.

AND has won a cup....... hilarious stuff right there

Put Niemi as number 1, and let's see how it goes

They're pretty much guaranteed a top ten pick regardless, whether it's Hughes or Cozens or Byram or Kakko doesn't matter much, any of them will be a welcomed addition

Yeah i know. It just seemed that Niemi could pull through and be a bit more clutch and actually steal games. Maybe it's an illusion. But if it wasn't for Niemi we would have finished with like 19 fewer points in the standings....or less?

And i wouldn't swap Price for Niemi. But i think there are definitely cheaper options out there for a team in this stage of the "reset'?

And Scrivens/Condon was vomit-inducing....

Meanwhile PK is not captain or alternate in Nashville, there's something there.
