No idea, but who would the Jackets put in net? I think they have a good goalie prospect coming up, but those are obviously never a sure shot...

Habs will trade them Lindgren for their 1st just to be safe

I hope this is the right decision to keep him. This could be a long season for everybody.

Line up for tonight?

- deadpoulet

Yeah. Pre-season is one thing, but will that carry on to regular season? One thing that's positive is that he improved from game to game. I don't expect him to spend the season here though.

im sure they're keeping him just to get some additional evaluation data. they'll send him back by the end of the month.

Yeah, I guess it's safer to lower our expectations, but it's been such a long time that the habs haven't had a really decent center that I still want/expect him to do really well

No, tonight is his 999th... And 17 games later or so, it'll be his 1000th as a hab.

I guess he didn't have an extraordinary camp, but he still looked pretty decent imo...

He had 30 pts last year playing limited minutes while missing about 1000 chances...he's a good NHL 3rd liner.

I disagree and even if it were true, this team has a dozen 3rd line players better than him

agree. wouldn't be surprised to see him put up Paul Byron production. he's going to be a solid NHLer.

30 point rookie season with 0 power play.

I guess Shaw and Plekanec are part of the future

he's a second year player. this is a lost season. it's precisely the time to find out what younger guys like Hudon can do.

Fair enough... I better agree anyhow, I seem to be taking a beating from the Charles Hudon fan club in here...

And I think it has a lot to do with people being fed up of players like Plekanec and Shaw as well...

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather see Hudon in than Shaw... I just don't think he'll ever be anything more than what he is now, an extra F at best... Someone compared him to Byron earlier, which is fair, could be his ceiling still but Byron creates a lot of his chances with speed, Hudon is not slow but he's not at that level where he can just blow by defenders
