Would have preferred keeping Carrick and waiving and dumping Marincin down to the minors. That said his arse in the press box is not a bad thing. He is useless and needs to go but really also Carrick at least could be moved for a pick. Provided he is munching Phil's hotdogs in the press box and not seeing the ice, it is NOT a bad thing at all.

Honestly thinking there might be another trade at some point here soon, thinking Goat plus a goalie but who knows.

Should be interesting, and kind of glad it is looking like Dubas is calling the shots more here too over Babs.

Marincin > Carrick

There, someone had to say it.

Both are 7th Ds anyways, so who cares.

Moving Carrick and his 1.3M cap space now for anything is a win.

That pays for some performance or signing bonuses this year (Nylander).

And pulling that off now, when most teams are gaga over their prospects or are carrying too many bodies, plus all the waiver noise, is a good move.

I love how before expansion draft last year there were alot of carrick fanboys in here (HAVE to protect him!!!) and now all of a sudden a 7th is an ok deal.

Bad management by Dubas again

- plantheparade

Lou was the GM when the draft happened.

Dubas is bad because he trade a D that Lou protected?

Nobody had to say it. In fact, it shouldn't have been said at all, at least not without even an inkling of irony.

This is just pathetic.

Corrado, Leivo, Carrick: all did their time in the press box; it was time to let him go.

Marincin's turn now, at least for the short-term, to be the press box tweener. He's a little bit of insurance on the PK in case Oz can't handle it and a role where I think he'd actually be ok with that big stick of his ( ) and his knack for lobbing grenades up the boards onto the opposition's stick.

Carrick would have still come with a cap hit even after waiving him, so they were trying to dump his extra salary. When they send Marinpoop down(and they will eventually) there will be no cap hit.

Marincin should not see the ice at all. Holl and Oz can handle things between the two of them. Marincin should just sit and collect his pay and munch on snacks watching real defencemen play the game.

You are dead wrong, FederovForGM not Jagr. Jagr for first line winger.

You know how their ads show people struggling with laggy third party streams that crap out? Their Sportsnet GO site/app lags and crashes more than almost every 3rd party stream site I use.

I wonder if Dubas and Babcock had a little thing going on before these guys were put on waivers....Babcock probably said OK I will go along with you to keep Sparks if you go along with me to be rid of Carrick as he was going nowhere with Babcock

Iv heard some of those complaints. According to the website I would be able to watch all the Leaf games..which is what I want. Lots of the sens games are blacked out ..lol

Just is it worth $180..or just use different streams all season ..on the fence
