I know, I'm just messing around. I think they want the dust to settle more before appointing someone that might be leaving or potentially bringing in an outsider that becomes the captain kind of like Messier.

For example, maybe Kreider or Zucc gets the constant "A" and the other 4 rotate?

I think if they ultimately give Zucc an extension, it should come along with giving him the C as well

right now I personally still think there's a way better chance he'll be traded though

I agree with everything you said. This is a move to avoid trading away the new captain and having to appoint another less than a year after naming one.

I would have no issue with Zucc having the C but I wish he was a little younger and going to be here a longer time.

It's funny because they had this many guys in 16-17. The main difference being they had an actual captain. It just seems strange having 5 guys with an A.
