I know you didn't use happy -maybe it wasn't the right word - I just get the vibe day in day out that you're "ok" with the losing - anyways, thanks for an honest answer

wasn't trying to pick a fight either

It's all good, I'm not too sensitive and took no offense with an honest question.

I would be absolutely thrilled with a bottom finish instead of the team playing above it's head and giving the impression that they're closer than they really are.

As an added bonus, it should translate to better draft position.

I'll put you on the list of 'happy with losing'.

I got this one, Minivan.

Isn't this exactly what a rebuild is supposed to be? Losing. I don't know why Canucks fans would whine so much about what they wanted so bad.
- manvanfan

Have people actually been whining in here lately though? I feel like its been pretty tame and that most people are aligned and have accepted how the season is going to play out. I feel like people (no offense and no relation to this post) whine more about other people allegedly "whining" than people have actually be whining in here.

The team can finish low and still show progress. Look last season... Brock more or less pushed the PP to 9th from near the bottom the season before and not because Hank was dishing to him. Improvement and we still landed Hughes. This season's addition is upgrading our C position for the future. Now it's two top 6 centers that are very young. Next season it will be a boost on D and the PP with Hughes. Team's speed will be upgraded for sure...

All this talk about a team never tanking from the beginning of the season (Donna), ya, this is precisely what Jim Benning is doing. He's going hard after Jack Hughes from game one!!!

he isn't exactly being transparent about it either. The league can see that he brought back the exact goalie tandem and exact 8 D that we used to suck with last year

But Linden isn't back so it's addition by subtraction.

Hes got permission to do it now!

Getting JH basically means we get both Hughes brothers for their careers. Its a smart play to try and get both!

It's just Van's divided fan base on shoulda, woulda, coulda.

The difference would be the optimist to the pessimist in the way the team is heading. Some like to say that the team is going to be bad for another 6 years, others say Van's going to get another high draft pick and that should improve the team.

Some can't get over what happened in the past years and others have forgotten and moved on.

I think Pettersson has probably surprised us all at how comfortable he looks at C, already. He's been really good defensively and having watched a bunch of Vaxjo games last year, I think he looks better on the smaller NA surface TBH.

ahh I see. Maybe I haven't been paying much attention. I actually have thought the board has been the tamest it has been in a long long time. Despite a few people getting into a few individual heated debates, I thought its been pretty calm in here.

I honestly didn't know if there was a place for Gagner on this team but sending him down over Motte.

JB is really trying to tank. Let's hope we don't hear how they can't score when they replace a player that scores 30 points on a bad year with a guy who scores maybe 10.

(frank) off with all the' jockeys are athletes' bull poop. Darlin is the pre op Asian tranny straddling the mighty stallion that is Gaunce. The horse is the athlete, not the prissy jockey.

Darlin might get 30 and 60, but only because the mighty Gaunce allows it and is so secure in his gaunceness that he'll let the flashy little Swede hang off his arm flirtatiously, like nylander hangs off matthews.
