As per Jpat.

The Canucks led for 2:56 of the 425 minutes played in the preseason....

This team can't continue to give up early goals if they want to be "competitive".
As much as it's not the Goalies fault this team is terrible, they IMO are responsible for being ready to play at the start of the game.

Positives from Preseason for me.
- EP can play C and looks ready to be a significant contributor.
- Hutton has looked miles better than last season.
- Virtanen is putting himself in positions to score goals. He still is super raw but I think it's important to remember he is only a season removed from looking bad in AHL.
- Baertschi quietly looked like one of best players in the game(s) he played. As much as we are looking for the EP and Boeser and Horvat's to improve. Its not impossible for him to find another gear.

TML are worried about Connor Carrick getting claimed on waivers. As they should. He's better then Biega.
- manvanfan

I was just thinking McIlrath is better than Biega too and a lot cheaper than Gudbrandson .

I have to agree. Several have stated that Goldobin should get better linemates than 3/4th liners, I think the same for Virtanen.
Hutton has looked much better than last season, but he looked like an ECHL player last season.
Petterson has been nothing but impressive, so far.

Mentioned this the other day. Up to the players or the coaches or both?

Are those your positives?

You never give Gudbranson enough credit. He's good enough to play daily. At least NHL people think so.

McIlrath is AHL quality, at best.

I hate you too. Now back to hockey and why shouldn't Subban have been given a chance, the guy is an offensive dynamo, who cares if he can't pass worth shot or has zero idea what to do in the defensive zone, the kid should be gifted a spot because he knows offense.πŸ‘

Virtanen did get better linemates earlier in his career, I think he still needs to figure out the basics but I thought he looked improved last night.

I think it's a player's responsibility to get mentally ready for the game for the most part.

I don't understand your question, I think I was pretty clear.

As a Habs fan living in Van, I'm totally blown away by their prospect pool. Benning has a couple of misses but this will not be one of them. I think the team needs someone to replace Linden because public speaking is not Benning's thing. Nor is it Aquilini"s. Benning is too honest and Aquilini is too.....the opposite

I don't expect Jake too be much more than a solid 3rd liner. Him Sutter and Leipsic might be a somewhat decent line together.
