The @MapleLeafs announced today that the hockey club has reduced its roster to 23 players (13 forwards, eight defencemen and two goaltenders).

The following players have been placed on waivers: Connor Carrick, Curtis McElhinney and Calvin Pickard.

Yeah, this totally came out of left field. I'd kill for the Jets D core.

I wish we had Trouba, but I think Rielly is really good too and pretty close to him. I would really like Rielly to be paired with Trouba.

I did say close to Trouba.. Trouba can hit and play defense.. Rielly is better offensively. They would be a perfect pairing

No, this extends their time to make a decision by another month. Mcbackup can now go up and down as the leafs please once he passes waivers.

Rielly and Trouba are pretty comparable, but our core falls apart compared to the Jets immediately after that.

The big question is if they'll get that goaltending again.

I feel more confidant Andersen repeats and the Leafs get the same goaltending. He gets .918 and .919 every season.
