I wasn't a fan of the Petterson pick, but, that kid has impressed me.
He is a smart and highly-skilled player.
If nothing else this season, he will be enjoyable to watch.

The next years goalies just look like Demko, Markstrom which I think is fine. Markstrom without the pressure of being the number 1. Oddly though Markstrom's numbers aren't too bad last year. He just doesn't give the team a chance to win most nights.

If you could get rid of Both Nilsson and Markstrom then maybe bring in Brian Elliot to mentor Demko.

Markstrom was the highest rated goalie not playing in the NHL for his time. Florida rushed him into the league behind their poop roster and he fell flat on his face. One could argue he is still struggling with the effects of that decision. Now Demko is anointed the next best thing from sliced bread and everyone wants to gift him the starters role when he hasn't achieved a thing in this league. Do you really want to roll the dice and risk the possible upside of Demko ? You seen his performance in the preseason ... he's clearly not ready to be a backup in the NHL , let alone be handed the starters job behind this assembly of crap .

My biggest issue with Markstrom is when you need him to make that one timely save he doesn’t. Good goalie his intensity level is there every game and I like that but he will never steal a game for us. I want him to make me eat my words but I doubt it.

A lot of things can change between now and the start of next year . Will there be a new GM ? Will Canucks win first over all pick? Will they have a few first round picks?

I am leaning towards a whitewash on D but need to see how things go this year.

If the top 4 forwards next year are Brock Bo EP Hughes I would be going in the direction to change the D and throw a huge offer at Karlsson.

I think I am leaning towards making a lot of trades at TDL but we will see when we get there.

I've seen very few decent NFL games this season.
The bears 35 points in the first half. Avg 19 per game.
Looks like 3 teams will be blanked at half time.
Two other teams with just 3 points.
