If he goes the first 10 regular season games without a goal, ill start to worry about the slump, but i dont see green, giving one of his only offensive players, all but every opportunity to score a ton of goals all year
- Codes1087

time will tell , but he might regret not signing the extension sooner rather then later , a 18 goal year will drop him a few mill

Don't underestimate Benning's ability to put together a beauty of a tank team, he's getting better every year. A 4 year 12 mil contract with MNTC for a guy with a concussion, that takes talent.

an extra roster spot ...excellent asset management

The PP will click eventually, hopefully the new speedier players will be able to draw some in the regular season too.

You just have a way with people, like nothing is ever your fault, or everyone else is stupid, or complains or whatever. Codesey was in your corner earlier, but I think you can add him to the troll list now

So you are telling me i claim to always be right & if i were to be hysterically inclined it would suit you better?
As for my fault I’m not on the ice am I?

Whats better than quietly assembling a tank team to acquire a good player? A GM who can stealthily sign ufas to multi year contracts to ensure a team openly tanks for multiple years

Oh yah. I think the PP will still be half decent this year. Pettersson and brock are going to be so much fun to watch

First two periods I swear Boeser was drunk spinning around in circles chasing his tail. Looked much better in the third. EP is certainly going to be our #1 C. The kid has great vision and playmaking skills. Next year we get Hughes or Cozens and we are set for years to come

You are an eternal (self proclaimed) optimist, which is a great personality trait! But you come off on these boards on occasion as a bit of a Richard. You say something optimistic, or even negative and if someone disagrees with you they’re dumb or wrong or whatever. Someone else says something and your response is “no poop Sherlock” or whatever.

So, you have a choice. Take the blue pill, and we show you how far down this rabbit hole goes or take the red pill and wake up in your bed believing whatever you like. All I’m offering is the truth

And for the record, I know I’m a Richard, you don’t need to remind me

I think it will take a few more pieces than that, Pettersson looks great, Boeser looks lost, four more years.

Bottom 3 finish.

Realistically, this coming draft they are going to get another potential top line C, and one or two other piece that are 2-3 years away. In three years time, this roster will have turned over to the point where the only guys remaining will be:

Beagle
Roussel
Horvat
Pettersson
Boeser

ya this is worrisome. He does look like the sophomore slump is setting in.

Hopefully it doesn't take him a year to catch up to his bulkup lol.

I played with guys from AAA midget to Junior A to WHL and many players who put on too much muscle too soon always had issues as the seasons went on.

Hopefully it isn't an issue with Boeser.

I feel like we continuously look forward to when that one player who is on the decline, for his contract to expire and finally be rid of him, only to move on to a newly signed player to look forward to expiring. I remember it started with sbisa and dorsett after they signed. Then it was the sedins. Then it was LE, now we have gagner and beagle and edler. Its just a continuous vicious circle and free agency continues to be a huge reason for our failures.
