I find it very tiring caring, I'm conserving my caring energy.

You're a good poster.

what else is new?

BTW - Not sure if you have ever had, but would highly recommend. Honey Jack Daniels. On the rocks. It makes the preseason games that much more bearable

I was in a wedding over the weekend, and was introduced. I thought it was awesome. I have been drinking local beers for so long now, hadn't had any hard liquor in a long time, I liked it

Jack Daniels is trailer park piss.
A barrel aged extra special Jim Beam on the rocks is much more civilized.

It’s not though — it’s classified the same as St Germain, or Bols, or blue curaçao 🤢

If you want something lighter than scotch or bourbon, a Manhattan, negroni, or boulevardier are my go tos.

You just lost your man card.

Go try two fingers of 16 year isle of man with a couple drops of water in a tumbler.

Spend 150 bucks on a good barrel aged scotch and try a sip now and again, it's worth it. Don't drink it if your trying to get drunk.

Ha, ya, it’s a bit different drinking when you’re tastes have matured!

Woodfords, Blaton’s, Angels Envy are all good quality bourbons. High West makes great rye. Hendricks by far for gin. If you want to try some aperitifs/digetifs: Campari, Averna, fernet branca are all different and taste great (different) on their own.

If you’re in Van, and want to try some cocktails both classic and new made properly: labbatoir, Pourhouse, and keefer are top of the list.

Eh, you don’t have to spend that much. There are some great scotches at a lower price point than some of the much higher ones. Just takes some research! But definitely go single barrel over a blend

Now you’ve gone and alienated yourself because of a poor choice in beverages. This way worse than a Gonce or Sutter fascination. I won’t be able to talk to you in public anymore.

Well, seeing as you are open to suggestion, I guess we can still be friends.

Bourbons tend to be seeeter than Rye and Scotch. Irish Whiskey might be a good starting point for you, triple distilled, and a portion of un-malted barley is used in the mash making them smooth and a little sweet.

True, in the 100 to 120 range the are some great ones. But I just cracked a 149 dollar 16y single and it's otherworldly good. My cousin and I have a one upper birthday tradition and we're into that price range now..... so good.
