It's pretty obvious they're going for it. They sent Gaunce down, I guess that they feel that Jack Hughes might be an upgrade over him.

OMG
THE 200 DOLLAR BOTTLE WILL BE A CELEBRATORY DRINK DRUNK.

Gaunce just takes a spot away in the top 6 from a guy who has a better shot into becoming an NHLer. If Gaudette is 1c in Utica, say Macewen is 2. I dont know if Cull slides Gaunce to 3c. Having said that, Carter Bancks (captain) was playing on the 4th line winger position, so maybe cull realizes potential rather than experience

At this stage gaunce still had a better chance of being a 20 goal scorer then Macewen had of shooting 5 nhl goals in 3 seasons.
Gaunce wil be an excellent 2lc in Utica, don't forget he put up almost a point a game last time he was down.
Goldy and dahlin with gaudette centering them.
Cole and Gadj with gaunce centering them.

Winnipeg might have a decent player or 2 that needs to go on waivers soon.
I wouldn't mind if Petan ended up as a Canuck, he would be more exciting too watch, than a few of our current roster guys.

Petan's father just passed away suddenly, but, he may get waived on his return.
