If you believe Benning was actually going to "make room" I have a bridge you should be very interested in buying
Also, while Gaunce maybe hasn't stood out, Green already knows what he has there, whereas Motte is relatively new. I haven't watched any of the games except for the home win (shootout), but hasn't Gaunce only played 2 pre season games whereas Motte has played 5? - 1970vintage
Tell me more about this bridge, what’s the air draft to navigate under, is there enough beam clearance without hitting the bridge abutments, what are the chart datum soundings so I know what the under keel clearance I’ll have under this bridge, any across track currents to be concerned about.....enough marine descriptors for you.
You haven’t watch any games? If you had you would see who deserves a spot, who has played well and who hasn’t.
Gaunce may make the team, but I will still be disappointed, he doesn’t deserve it from his play. |

The Ehrenfelzer is great, but sadly sold out. Really like the Blanc de blancs bubbly - 1970vintage
We’ve got the Ehrenfelzer. We hit them up early in the season. |

That was a thing of beauty! That was Guy Lafleur, hair streaming in the wind, down the right wing unloading a cannon top shelf.
But also, coaches like what they know, less what they think. |

I swear some of you guys pop pills like tic tacs .
It's all because of the Sedins retiring that we are this bad?
We have won 4 playoff games since 2012. We continuously end it the bottom third in scoring every year. Our D sucks , our goal tending is horrible and our big concern is to avoid waivers for Gaunce . You blame Beagle Schaller and Roussel for our years of misery when not one of them have played a regular season game for the team yet.
I bet we could have finished 12 last year if that damn Benning didn't sign that Beagle fella in the summer.
Keep pushing for Gaunce and his five goals over three years , and keep pushing for Henrik and his three goals to come out of retirement.
Remember the team has been the worst NHL team in the last 4 years so blaming Beagle for their misery is beyond stupid. Sedins were not the only problem but they certainly were part of the problem . |

What if they are worse this year, with Beagle instead of Sedin?
I'm not anti-Beagle. He's a good player. I'm anti Beagle + Sutter, because I see them as the same player, and this team doesn't need more shutdown guys, they need more scoring guys, and better D, and better goaltending. |

Cmon Vintsy . The year Mathews got drafted we should have had the worst record in hockey that year. The next year we finished 26 th and this year in the last week we were at 27 th. Why are you afraid ? How far could they fall?
We are trying a new roster and in preseason everyone is panicking. It is going to take time . Canucks never planned for the Sedins departure and there will be some pain but you got to give it longer than game 5 of preseason.
Also you can't sit back and complain about how bad the team looks and then rally around bring back Gaunce . That is an oxymoron. |

I'm not panicking. I know the team will not do well. I knew they wouldn't do well last year, and the year before. I knew that after loosing to Boston, it was time to start making changes. I wanted to trade Kesler then, I fantasizes about trading the twins, and if Gaunce is your sticking point, who' panicking? I don't care if they waive Gaunce, but I'll tell you what I know about pro coaches, they are scared poopless about what they don't know, and Green already knows what Gaunce will give him. That is why I think (my opinion) he makes the team. It isn't what I want per se, but what I think. |

yeah i do. i always have. i feel like i've at least understood their approach from day one (development of young players in a working environment). i see way too many gm's trying to do too much (mortgaging the future, making the bad trade) and i think we have a more sensible approach. some gaffes and bungles along the way (JV and OJ, ufa's, gudbranson) but i still understand the sentiment
i'm disappointed about preseason because i really expected more from nearly every single individual in the organization. no one looks to have taken a significant step forward over the summer. thank god we have EP and hughesy on the way |

i get it. i really do.
i think the real tipping point is when we start pulling the trigger on trades for star calibre players or bringing them in as ufa's. that's when the real asset management happens. i don't care too much about loose change like 4th rounders |

Problem is that so do 9 other forwards lol - Nucker101
Unfortunately there is a long list of untouchables that starts with Eriksson and ends with schaller (sp). |

The smartest post of the week have been coming from ASL posting the photo of Jack Hughes over and over. This is what it takes to get the top pick. Jack Hughes ( not my choice) this year and Lafrenier next year will take this team a long way. |

Unfortunately yesterday Benning said " Loui has a lot to offer the Canucks and we need him to mentor Elias"
If that doesn't make you puke nothing will. Just keep thinking Brother Jack. |
