This is exactly what we've been kicking around on here, same d and goalies and expect a different result is the definition of insanity. Pacific got better too, were going to be a doormat for a lot of pacific teams. .500 record against 3 team pacific teams would be a win IMO

Getting better on D and G would have to be done by trade or free agency. Trading isnt a great option. Free agency, see what we got for the price.
It is what it is for this season. Next year will again be slightly different.

Pouliot has 138 games of NHL experience. At what point do we negate that "25%" odds of becoming a legit top 6 dman lol
- Codes1087

He's already surpassed the 12.5 percent chance that a4th round pick has to play 100 games. So there's that.
If we didn't have Hutton I'd like pullout trade better, he was redundant though.

Value wise it wasn't a bad trade.

Oh for sure, I wouldn't have been happy if they added another older dman.

You know who else are 100% behind their team, even when things are really bad? Pom pom wavers lol

You can be a die-hard passionate fan while still being able to criticize.

- Codes1087

Nope, you aren't a real fan unless you 100 percent support your team through 100 percent of its moves.

Benning wil join Gilles, Nonis, Burke and Keenen in the hall of fame, just you wait and see.

It’s not just the fact that the D and goaltending hasn’t changed, but I think a lot of people underestimated the impact of the Sedins departure. Even as their production dropped, they still drew the other teams best shut down guys.

Now not only will Boeser, Pettersson and Horvat be expected to drive the offence, but they will have to do it against the other teams top lines. That’s a big ask for any young player.

And the Canucks certainly don’t look any faster with the Sedins gone. They have some fast players, but as a team they don’t do anything with speed.

You should apologize to your wife for paying to read Botch and JD Burke

I would of thought you understood marriage by now....never admit, never apologize, and never agree.

Clearly you haven't heard that Sutter and Beagle will be taking on that challenge. Horvat and Pettersson will get to play against other teams 4th lines.

I'm not sure who you're talking about (Eriksson?), but at this stage, I doubt anyone is figuring anything out.

Also, I'm with you, I think Gaunce has already made the team

You have it wrong. Always admit, always apologize (even when you're right, which is most of the time) and always agree (but still do what you know is right).

That would be a disappointment, motte deserves to make the team not Gaunce.

Maybe, but Motter isn't going to play a scoring role, as he can't score, and I believe Greener already trusts Gaunce as a 4th line shut down guy.

Gaunce Beagle Schaller as the 4th line is my bet, even when Rousse gets back.
