Listen kid....I know you know pretty much SFA but Florida had 44 wins 96 points last year and missed the playoffs, St. Louis had 44 wins 94 points and missed the playoffs, that's not a good measure of "sucking".

First year of the Oilers losing streak was 06-07, they broke 80 points twice in the next two seasons other then that they didn't break 80 points 7 years without breaking 80 points. If you took those same parameters of breaking 80 points and not sucking then sorry Van is only 3 years into "sucking".

So which is it? Did the oilers suck for 10 years or have the Canucks only sucked for 3 years?

I'm trying to be realistic with the kid, the Oilers were very lottery fortunate but in a couple years we'll be in a very similar boat as far as bad seasons in a row, again, when will the excuses stop?

It's frustrating, Oiler franchise history is so glorious no matter how many years of suckage they've gone through. The canucks history plays out like the keystone cops.

IMO the oilers will be right back to where they left off in 1990 in no time. They can't (frank) this up. As the canucks get better the oilers will be two steps ahead. I get the feeling they're going to be that team that's constantly in our way. Kind of like the avalanche used to be.

What does your division standings have to do with sucking? In 2009 the Oilers had 85 points, 38 wins, that hardly constitutes sucking. Buffalo had 91 points 41 wins and missed the playoffs, so they sucked too?

They started tanking in 2010 and it continued until 2016, 2017 they had 103 point season. Again, missing the playoffs doesn't mean you suck.
