I'll happily lead the "pom pom club" - I have no delusion, they suck HARD! Much like Vinty's mom but I'd rather openly cheer for my team despite that than to female dog and moan about the bumps in the road.

I'm excited to see Pettersson and Boeser grow together as well as Hughes.

Teams needs to be able to pot a goal. Losing confidence. TG needs to make the game fun. Loosen up the boys. Definitely missing Sutters glue.

I would argue that there isn't a single person in here who doesn't cheer for the Canucks. We wouldn't be here if we all weren't avid fans. You can be a fan, without needing to believe that this team is better than they are currently, that's delusional. In the end, everyone here, despite their different beliefs, all have the same goal in mind

That’s all you can ask for, a good effort. Though Green, by his comments, didn’t seem pleased by the level of compete. I’m sure it wasn’t all goaltending, but he’s got to be frustrated with that in particular.

Just talked with Jett Woo, he had surgery on his knee in Vancouver 2 weeks ago and hopes to return to the Moose Jaw lineup soon. #Canucks

Some of these comments are ridiculous. Even in the pom pom club not one poster has said they are not a bottom 10 team. The highest projections I have heard anyone say is that they would do a little better.

It is like the other day when I made a mock post to Nucker when he said EP will get 57 pts and I called him clueless that he would get 60. That is what it is like in here , argue over anything.

Don said something the other week and it summed up my expectations too. Who gives a fuk where they finish. If we suck we get a high draft pick. If we exceed then good for us.

It is a win win year

in a nut shell. everyone throws people into one of two categories - POM POM wavers, or pessimistic drama queens. In reality, there are no more than 2 people who truly belong in each group. 99% of the time, people here are arguing over the exact same thing, more often than not being able to argue the same points, but continue to argue for the sake of it. These boards are 95% of the time toxic, and 5% civil discussion. To be honest, while I come for the 5% civil discussion, its the 95% that truly keeps me coming back

Pretty much. Improvements or a draft pick. Either way we are heading in the right direction. I'm sticking with my original prediction that we finish 21-25. Not popular opinion I realize but we have still yet to see a full squad gel. Growing pains for sure however I'll reserve total judgement until about the 15-25 game mark. With these broken-up pre season rosters it's really too hard to judge much. While CGY-EDM-LA have fielded pretty much full NHL squads for pre season we haven't been even close to that.

Vantel - I did two mock drafts, they didn't go well, lol, I might have to change my strategy for tomorrow.
