its not even game 1 of 2019 in the NHL season. Draft lists have a rough idea of some things but there is a lot that will change between now and then.
outside of Kaako, Hughes and... that might even be it... its impossible to guess who will fill out the top 10. |

This season will be ‘Up in Smoke’ - Nighthawk
I'll be out of the country for oct/nov so i will mostly just be checking highlights but i expect that i'll have a clear idea when i get back of whether i should be optimistic or join the doom and gloom squad |

Then you need to get a new subscription. You hope your GM is getting quality and quanity - VANTEL
But we’ve had the assets to trade away “quality” picks. A plethora of 2nds out the door. |

Assuming they're in a spot to take a center, take one.
Then spend every other draft pick they get on D and hope the volume approach pays off. |

I gotta say, kappo kakko is a fantastic name. I hope if we miss on hughes we can draft him simply to hear that name on the play by play for years to come |

only downside is that he's a RW and honestly... wingers aren't that important when you need building blocks. |

Is there still enough cap space left for the Sedins?
I like Vantel's idea of keeping an eye open for a new back up via waiver wire. Not that it's much of a difference maker but I can't imagine keeping Nillsen after last season and this preseason.

Travis Green after Oilers loss tonight on why Guance has not played in last 2 games : There is no story there. I want to see other guys play. #Canucks - LeftCoaster
Because he already knows what he has in Gaunce, Beagle light. Ask Minivan, more Beagle is better than less Beagle (this is a dog reference, don’t read too much into it). |

Kucherov, patrick kane, tarasenko, pastrnak, patrick laine. Mitch marner. William nylander, arvidsson, radulov, wheeler, toffoli, boeser.
Mcdavid is the best center in the world and hasnt had a good enough winger to play with him since hes entered the league. My point is, despite an always never ending need for quality/top centers, people are too quick to dismiss the value of wingers and their impact on the game. |

Here I thought losing was the toughest thing about a rebuild.
Do you get a badge or decoder ring with the elite fan membership? - RealityChecker
Elite fans have at least 3 pro jerseys, preferably 1 signed, several other pieces of team memorabilia and put one of those car window flag thingys in October 1st.
I qualify except for the car flag thingy. No wait, I don’t have the jerseys anymore either. |

You or I don't know what has been said behind closed doors. We don't know if someone was saying " Give the Sedins one last kick at the can" or "These players won't let go of their NTC"
Canucks have made a lot of mistakes but I will give them credit for trying different things. After seeing the make up of the team I would suggest selling off all assets like Tanev Edler Baertschi Sutter Gudbrandson MDZ JV .
It is probably a good time to tear down and rebuild. They can't sink any further. |

Toronto is probably going to have to expose Sparks, the goalie that beat the Comets in the first round last year. |

Radulov and Arvidsson in the conversation with those other players is funny. Even Toffoli, Boeser, Pastrnak and Nylander.
Now put down the list of play driving centers and see how much longer it is than wingers who've proven they're able to drive a line. |
