That's why I don't blame Fitz for saying he wasn't ready. He messed up calling some coverages against the Chargers I heard. If he continued to take 5 sacks a game or whatever it was, then he's another Couch.

I was wrong about him. I didn't think he had that game in him. Not saying he's Montana yet, but I think we can stop with the EJ juxtapositions.

Why not Dahlin + Nelson? Nelson or Bogo are two most obvious partners for him to start the season with. I'm glad they are giving them a game together.

This is true, forgot about that. Why do it then? I mean looking at their projected lineup, I think he's listed usually as 3rd line, not even 4th. If they aren't tanking, why send a better player to the minors.

If it's the $1M in savings, they'd be better served relocating now.

Dahlin played with McCabe last, so Dahlin isn't going to be top pairing to start. Who his partner is doesn't mean he's not getting top4 minutes. Nelson may be a better "steady" presence than McCabe in their eyes.

Partly that's because it's preseason, that we don't have full lines to put the guys you mentioned with him if he's 3C. Smith and Ogre did look good so far this preseason, have netted goals and may be the best of what's remaining for the bottom 6 in a preseason game where some sit.

I kind of agree. Think some is just due to circumstance.
